Coron, Palawan, Philippines

My last island visit in the Philippines was in the northern Palawan region. I stayed off of Coron Island on a houseboat and then a floating bungalow. This gave me exclusive access to the lagoons before and after normal visiting hours. I also get lost my first night among the gigantic karst, jurassic aged, rocks… in the dark.

Railay and Krabi, Thailand

I visit Railay- stay on East but frequent the West beach often. I go to a ladyboy show and watch a ton of sunsets. Then I navigate my way to Krabi which is a fiasco and not worth my time. Krabi Town would be great on it’s own but not for only 1 day- I thought it would be a convenient stop on my way to Siem Reap. Wrong.

Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand

Chiang Mai, Thailand- a hub spot of many adventures. I celebrate Songkran, explore 3 temples here, go to night markets and get a Sak Yant from Monk Rung. I take a bus to Chiang Rai for an over night stay and do another overnight stay with elephants in the Mae Wang district. Then I take the overnight sleeper train to Bangkok.
